Qualifications and Experience

The principal of DAT is Dale A. Tartakoff. Dale has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, an MBA and more than 35 years of experience in all phases of accounting, tax and finance. He is also registered with the State of California in income tax preparation and is bonded (Bond No. 14512922). Much of his experience was gained at multi-million-dollar corporations with their myriad of financial requirements.

Specifically, Dale has controlled a $40 million general ledger, prepared financial statements and consolidations, coordinated inventory reductions was involved with profit plans and budgets, converted accounting software and established tighter financial controls for sales/use tax. He also coordinated year-end audits and was able to lower the accounts receivable at one international company for substantial savings and collections!

Dale formed his own practice specializing in small business bookkeeping, accounting and tax in 1990. Today, his clients are wide-ranging from restaurants and service businesses to manufacturers and home builders. He has a state-of-the-art computer system with the latest accounting software, high-speed cable modem and all other technological advances for his clients’ benefit.
